Assignment Duration: 90-day temporary position with the opportunity to convert based on Performance and Attendance
Work Location: Adkins, Texas 78101 (3 minutes outside Loop 1604 & Hwy 87 E)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6 am – 6 pm (Must be Flexible)
Job Summary: Under immediate supervision, the Sanitation Technician operates a company service truck and drives to various locations to service/pump/clean portable facilities and holding tanks.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform basic service truck driving functions.
safely perform all work duties and safety standards to ensure no accidents or injuries.
Perform duties by sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. In addition, perform lifting/pushing between 50 and 150 lbs. frequently during work shifts.
Conduct top-notch portable facilities servicing.
Perform customer service interaction when on customer work sites to ensure they are getting the services completed to their standard.
Ability to be flexible to meet customer needs when routes need to be adjusted or changed.
Provide routing feedback to the on-site Supervisor to be most efficient as well as give the customer the best service possible.
Ability to strategically plan for customer needs by discussing their portable facility needs, so the customer's current and future needs are satisfied.
Requirements:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must be 23 years or older for driving/insurance purposes.
Must have a Valid Class ‘C’ Texas Driver’s License (CDL or non-commercial)
One (1) year of experience in driving vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
Must have a clear criminal background check, driving record, and drug screen
Department Specific: Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A & B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and Family Violence Convictions.
